Subject:Got more stuff sketched....sewing trip changed to today.
Security:Public

I got both of The Town Mouse's badges sketched. I due to the pen that I used not liking a different pencil that I sketched with, I need to reprint to sketch back over. One has him playing the bag pipes. The one of is mouse's character with his arms folded, two street signs displaying "YONGE 761/BLOOR ST. W 1," and the other of his character playing bag pipes. On the resketch, I'm going to try to get the top of the pipes in. It's the first time I've ever drew them for someone.

If you live in Toronto, Ontario, they may look familar. TTM's from there.

I need to scan on Trailfang's badge. It looks awesome so far, but needs to get approved. His is a sabertooth cougar, with an Australian cowboy hat, shirt, and bandanna around his neck.

Heading to Lynne's later, part 2. Was at work a bit later, came home to take care of stuff, and then it down poured. My mission to get a new web cam, pizza, and sewing shall continue.

Time to swap out the laundry into the dryer and get ready for work. Looking forward to the weekend. Will be bugging my friend Robert, his family, and his friend JP and his fiancee' down in Williamsburg for the weekend. It'll be fun, and hopefully will involve flute playing and silliness.

Furbid lived, and auction won. This will help with a few deadlines involving feet.

My time is limited, and I seem to only get a few things done daily. Making another trip to Lynne's to finish sewing the rest of the body stuff onto one of her projects, hopefully work on Hobbes's tail, and sketch out Town Mouse's badges.

Thursday will definitely be a cleaning day!

Folks, as much as it may be annoying to say, but unless it's an art project that I've prior discussed with you, I really can't take anymore 2-D commissions. I can do quick sketches, but that's about it.

In August, for the remaining 2-D projects, I'll be working on them at work during the day, and sewing at home and on weekends. I do plan on finishing my list of 2-D projects that I owe folks. When those are done, I'll be limiting them to model sheets and con badges. Cels take a long time, and anything with a background immensely longer.

I'll have a list to post of what I owe people (including some web work) soon, so I can make a time frame of some sorts to complete them.

What do you do with someone who reposts other peoples art as their own on a free online gallery, with horribly KIMMEH-style grammar to match for captions?

The individual made it really obvious about what was happening last night.

The new office has A/C. After I the rack arrives and my framed/signed VG Cats poster and sketch are hung, I'll take photos.

I have a few things near the book cases that need to be sorted (books, art, ect), and some things on the desk as well, so waiting a bit before taking photos.

Tomorrow:
*Town Mouse's badges
*Laundry
*Ink Zot's sheet
*Scan sheet & Hobbes's head design

Kreggan, the photographer noticed on the camera that for some reason he looked blue. Retouching one by itself was a pain in the butt, so here's the only one I'm posting:

Geez, I miss a lot.

Busch Gardens was hot, but tolerable. Yay for free passes! Chris's mom was able to get Chris, Mike, and myself passes to the park. They have something at the gate where you have to do a finger print scan, which holds up the line a bit. Employee passes simply scan, and let you right in.

I'm adding Alpinegeist to the list of rides I can no longer do. My head was dizzy and hurting. Big Bad Wolf was added last year. Gryphon is awesome when people don't make the ride stop by throwing up, then them having to air out the car a time or two. The ride experience is awesome.

Apollo's Chariot is a smooth ride. It's a nice tall coaster that has classic drops and curves to it.

I am still amused at the people who win giant plushes, and then have to U-Haul them around the park.

BBQ over at the Smoke House was yummy and alright. No mac & cheese his time.

I've experienced the wait and ride of the giant castle. Awesome 3-D effects and quick ride around the building, but not worth a 50 - 90 minute wait (we only waited 50). I had no idea what it was before going it. It's not a coaster, and the exploded gargoyles peed on us.

Hmm... my suggestion is go pick up the graphic novel and read it before you watch the movie. Cause there is no way they are going to fit ALL of that awesome into less then two hours.

What are you all waiting for?? Bookstores, NOW!

I'll add more art as time goes on. I need to download everything off my site, and see which ones I'd like to post. Not everything will be. This is meant for highlights, more than quantity.

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

Greetings folks.

I've been experimenting with various materials. I was curious what folks here generally like to use that's easy to wash, and can take abuse?

This can range from material that is dark colored (such as black or brown) to light (beige to pink).

Thanks in advance.

I noticed that with their site, you could create sub galleries. I got tired of fishing around links through directories of my site, so I went a head and signed up for a space. I plan on just keeping a home page, about, commission section, and contact page on My Name Is... in the future. It's a slow battle to get my own site done.

For those of you who use the site, how do you add 4 images (I'm guessing portfolio) to your archive looking at the lists of artists, what is the advantage of a free account, and what is the portfolio review I keep seeing mentioned on the site?

I remember back in the Yerf days, you needed to apply with 3 images in order to be accepted for space. From what I saw, anyone could sign up to have their own gallery.

I love the site layout and user interface, but some of it like the above mentioned confuses me.

Also, CLARITIN IS A LIFE SAVOR! I have not sneezed in two days! I woke up this morning able to completely breathe, and I can live again. Wooooo.

Scheduled stuff for the week:
*Today, finish Star's sandals, Jamie's icon, start The Town Mouse's stuff.
*Tomorrow, transfer tail patterns to board, cut out and tack together greyfox and dog tails.
*Friday, help Lynne with sewing stuff, sew tails, attempt to relax.
*Saturday, Busch Gardens with Chris, Mike, and myself.
*Sunday, make sushi with Chris and harass the birthday boy, Carlisle, and a bunch of people that'll be at Chez Luguvalium.

I decided to finish up the living room instead of draw last night. The only thing left for now is to bring some stuff up to the attic. The sewing stuff will stay in the corner until I have an A frame in the office.

I'm contemplating buying the one I saw online. It'd save me space and the hassle of figuring out angles. Then again, I'd save about 60% of the cost by just doing it myself. Mine would be made out of wood, where as the fixture would be metal.

I'm debating, as the major thing would be that the metal structure would save me on space.

I want to start on Jaime's icon today and then The Town Mouse's badges. After that, painting retouches and Felix's badge. I will go through my log of projects and see if anything is due by November. If not, I will see how much time between the finished 2-D stuff and August 1st, and go from there.

There's two projects that I reeeeally want to work on that I haven't had the full okay to start as far as costuming stuff goes.

Confirmed characters so far (without too much detail): black panther, bernese mountain dog, dutch rabbit, grey fox, and albino raccoon.

Sometimes having shitty credit (and thus, somewhat low limits) is not a bad thing.

I just paid off every credit card I have. At once.

There's still a few collection companies from literally YEARS ago chasing me over stupid, old shit.

But I'll deal with those as they come.

And, having learned how to "Scrub" a credit report to satisfaction, I will do so once that's all done.

I have a bed that collapses on me from time to time. I would love to cut some plywood to reinforce this...but the saw I own is in NY.

I have a perfectly good circular saw, that I'd love to go get (and get the rest of my stuff so I can stop paying rent on the garage up there)...but the van is running kinda crappy...

I have a van that needs some work (and a VA registration) to be running well enough to make a cross-state run...but I need to get some parts, and get it over to Kain's house...

So I guess, logically speaking, that's the next step.

Subject:Stuff to do.
Security:Public

I have allergy meds now...at least hopefully better ones. I'm not moving, but with all the cleaning, it's basically the equivalent of the effect that happens to me when I do. I'll feel like I'm suffocating after I wake up. It's fun!

I forgot to take medicine for it, and I'll be sneezing for 20 minutes straight. This'll take a month or two to get over.

Stuff to do this month:
*Finish and put away laundry
*Test wash glove (trying two methods)
*Pick up A-Frame supplies
*Build A-Frame
*Order fur fabric (waiting to hear back about one project)
*Finish up The Town Mouse's and Mavie badges
*Touch up Shamus's, DaveQat and Syn's, and Tango's illustrations
*Jamie's icon
*Ink Zot's sheet

If I've seemed busy, unable to talk, and short to respond, I've been cleaning and working on things. Please be patient with me. If I'm unable to talk on the phone or Skype, it's mainly why.

I'll have a charged phone by this afternoon. I can receive text messages (it's kept on silent), but for the most part, I can only reply during my breaks.
